LPP

LPP is one of the most prestigious residential and shopping complexes in China and is invested by one prominent Hong Kong land developer. This huge shopping mall has 50+ restaurants with a total kitchen exhaust air volume of around 900,000 CMH.

Major Challenge

The kitchen exhaust treatment equipment are to be situated at 7/F podium. However, as this is very close to the 3 residential buildings, residents may easily be affected by the odor from the exhaust fumes.

Therefore it is crucial to design and build an effective kitchen odor treatment system to solve this pressing issue.

Mission & Methods

Purify indoor air within shopping mall – PAUs and AHUs (to use BSG-INDUCT Series)

Improve air quality in heavily polluted areas – Refuse room, sewage facility and septic tank (To use BSG-INDUCT
heavy duty stand alone products)

Solve pollution caused by kitchen fume emission – Cooking exhaust emission on 7/F Podium (To design &
build effective reactors to breakdown grease & odor)

AHUs & PAUs
  • To purify indoor air within shopping mall (from B2/F to 6/F)
  • To maintain Good Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
  • Installed various models of the BSG-INDUCT Series (ID-20,30,40,60,80) at the Supply – Air Duct of 48 x AHU and 23 x PAU.

Challenges

1) Extreme Wuhan Weather Conditions:
  • BSG OGR Modular Ductwork System is located at the 7/F Podium Area
  • Outdoor Environment
  • Weather-proof (Water-proof)
  • Able to withstand the extreme temperature range of Wuhan (-18 to 39°C) (-0.4 to 102 °F)
2) Exhaust Condition:
  • BSG OGR Modular Ductwork System is located near the end of the exhaust duct
  • 5-10m before the Exhaust Vent (Discharge)
  • Calculated Wind Speed passing through our OGR Device: 3.33-6.52 m/s
  • Very limited reaction time for OGR Modular Ductwork System to tackle with the odor and grease molecules
    • Not more than 3 seconds

3) 7/F Podium:
  • All the kitchen exhaust is grouped together and discharged at 7/F Podium
    • Total of 899350 m3/h
  • The shopping mall of LPP Project is located very close to three residential buildings
  • If the kitchen exhaust purification is not efficient/effective
    • Would easily receive many complaints from the residents nearby
    • The entire project has been running for two years, yet no complaints have been received
